Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 June 2026
Vanja Trades ("the app") is a small, personal project that turns the trade log in your own Google Sheet into charts and portfolio metrics. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
What we collect
- Account info from Google Sign-In: your name, email address, and Google account ID. This is used to identify your account and sign you in.
- Your trade data: when you connect a Google Sheet and sync, we read it and store a copy of the trades (date, ticker, shares, price, notes) in our database so the dashboard can compute quickly. Your sheet remains the master copy.
- Your watch list: the tickers you choose to follow.
- Feedback you send: the message text, which is emailed to the project owner.
- Basic technical logs needed to run and debug the service. We do not log the contents of your sheet beyond the trade copy described above.
Google data & permissions
We request read-only access to your Google Sheets
(spreadsheets.readonly). We can never edit, delete, or write
anything back to your Google account. We do not request access to your
bank, brokerage, or any financial-institution credentials. Vanja Trades'
use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the
Google API Services User Data Policy,
including the Limited Use requirements.
How we use it
Only to provide the dashboard: compute your holdings, returns, and charts; keep your watch list; and respond to feedback. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes.
Where it lives
Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway. Market data (prices, fundamentals) is fetched from public market-data sources and is not personal to you.
Your choices
- Delete your account and data: you can permanently delete your account and all stored trades and watch-list items at any time from your profile page (Delete account). This cannot be undone. Your Google Sheet is never touched.
- Disconnect Google: you can revoke the app's access in your Google account permissions.
- Access/export: you can download everything we store about you (account details, trades, watch list) as a JSON file from your profile page. Your trades also always live in your own Google Sheet.
